Hippie Hoop Hoop!

A very good Monday to everyone!! Who is suffering from Monday blues?? Hands up please!!! Well, i'm certainly suffering from it!!!

Anyway, i just did a new header for my blog, for some reason it looks perfectly fine when it's viewed in a small window, but the moment you enlarge the window, the proportion just went off! If anybody knows how to fix this, please leave me a message!!! Thanks!!!

So what do we have here for the Monday morning?? More toys ofcourse!! I figured that besides food, toys are actually one of the elements that could help by releasing stress!! Believe it or not!

Today, i'm going to introduce HR a.k.a Heroic Rendezvous!

This village of small people caught my attention when Andy Lau of Hong Kong wore their T-shirt to an event many years ago. I then did some research and found out they are actually from Hong Kong!! They are Honky!! And the heroin who created them is Vanessa Chan from Hong Kong. Besides having their flagship store in Hong Kong, they've now ventured into Singapore as well!! Their S'pore store is in Central shopping centre. ( Near Clark Quay)

Now, let's enjoy some of these heroics in action!! Photos were taken during their exhibition in Suntec sometime last year.

The dolls basically comes in same shape & sizes, but for this exhibition, zoom into their hairstyles!!!
Yes, the left is a boy an the right is a girl! Look @ their hairstyle!
aren't they just too cute to be true?? Again, look @ their hairstyles!
I really wished this hairstyle is on me!!!
And the hairstyle on the left....i HEART!

There you go folks!! You can check them out on their website too!!

It's cooking time!!

I'm actually amazed by kids toy these days. And i kinda envy children of this era, they get to play toys where during "OUR" time, it's something we could only be dreaming of.

So what's actually keeping my eye brow raised this time?

Remember when you were young, you'll always gather your friends around and say " let's play kitchen?" I'm quiet surprised these days cooking toys are still available, the problem with it though is they've evolved......

This is how it looks like when the cooking class is closed! & when it's open, it looks like this!

Kawaii ne!

On closer view, you have the stove, rice cooker, pans, pots and some plates for serving!

These are the ingredients for the cooking! 2day i'm going to make -- TAMAGO&EBI TEMPURA SETO ( EGG & Prawn Tempura Set) Let's get cooking!

1st of all, let's cook rice! Open the packet of rice, pour it into the rice cooker...

This is how it looks when the rice is still dry

Pour some water into the rice cooker for it to cook for a while...

While waiting for the rice to cook, let's make some tomato sauce! Just like this,

Add the powder and stir it up with a bit of water to make this,

Ta da! Tomato sauce is done! Let's set that aside...now we move on to the eggs!

Let's open the packet of yellow ingredient to make our tamago! (EGG)

1st pour the mixture into a mixing bowl, add a bit of water, stir well and pour it into a pan...

Pour the mixture onto the pan and make sure the mixture sits well in the pan just like this,
Yay! The egg is cooking! While waiting for it to cook, lets check on the rice.....
Oh, the rice is ready! Look! Let's use some of the rice to make a heart shaped decoration...
Let the rice set in the mold for a while.....while waiting for that, we shall move onto making tomato rice!
Put a portion of the tomato sauce i make earlier into the rest of the rice and mix well...
see! Tomato rice!! Now the tomato rice is ready, we shall put it onto the cooked egg pancake....
Try to settle the rice in the middle of the egg pancake....and then we are ready to.....
Wrap it around! ok, that needs a bit of " Kung Fu". So our tamago egg rice is done!!! Now...our final element for the set is our Ebi Tempura! ( Prawn Tempura)
Get ready a big large pot for the frying oil......
These are the EBI waiting to be fried!!
Ebi in oil! see how "real" the oil is ?
The EBI is cooked!!! see the fluffy coating?

Have it all placed onto a nice little plate! We have our heart shaped rice with a flag on it, our prawn tempura, tamago rice and some salad! WALAH!

Bon Appetite!!
