Red Alert!!

A news caught my attention yesterday--- A 31 year old man returning from the States is suspected to have Swine flu. I stood there with disbelief and started to think what if this turns out to be a confirm case? The 1st case of Swine flu from Kuching throughout the whole country? Lots of questions went through my head @ that very moment. I mean in situation like this, there's really nothing much we can do right? However, i still need to find some form of way to protect myself. Going to the doctors and take some vaccine for normal flu is just not the way, i mean if it's called " Swine flu" it's obviously not a normal flu right? Apparently some private clinic doctors actually called out their patients and ask them to go take a normal flu vaccine! Can you believe it? Ofcourse many of us will get panic over things like this....but...what's important now, is to take good care of ourselves. Avoid crowded areas, wash your hands regularly, exercise regularly, take more vitamins....and last but not least, wear a mask!! It won't give you a full protection, but @ least there's some form of defence between you and the virus. If all the mask are sold out, you can try something like this;

Yes, bra! You will be surprised by how good of a protection it gives!!! If your wife/gf has got a bigger cup, it will provide even better protection! & what's great about it? it comes in two and you can get them 24/7 !!! When a news like above broke out all of a sudden? Take it off and cover your mouth!! Give another one to your love ones!!! Now i kinda know what wonders a bra can do!!!
hahaha
Anyway i was just trying to crack some jokes to you guys to help loosen the tension a bit!!! no offence!!!
By the way, heard the latest news on the radio, it says the test on the suspected man actually turn out to be negative! so i guess that's a piece of good news??? However, i still think we need to take safety precaution no matter where you are and what you are doing especially during times like this. LET's STAY SAFE!!

What's next?

You know, i really had a great time posting photos from my Kota Kinabalu trip. It was such an enjoyment!! But, good things always come to an end, right? So, before i start my wild imaginations posting again.......there's however a tip of advise i got as an email from my friend the other day......it serves as a reminder for those that always eat out, or those that go travelling and got carried away....too happy and forgot to check minor things like this!!!! Hopefully after this post, you will put your hand-phone calculator to good use!!!

Below is an example,( image extracted from the email i got,) it happened in a restaurant in Hong Kong. Basically it's a normal bill which we get after every meal if we are eating out...so what's wrong with it?? Try adding the amount and you will know what i mean!!!!

Say for example, by adding all the amounts on the bill.....
45+36+65+68+98+88+8+68+42 = $518!!! Hello? It aint $548 as shown on the bill ok? Plus the service fee it will only be $ 573!!! See how much more you need to pay if you don't check your bills properly???

I'm sure if you bring the problem to the cashier or the waiter/waitress, they will either come back to you and blame it's a techincal fault....but a fault is a fault, and you need to fix that right??

So be sure to check your bills next time you eat out!!!! and don't get conned!!!

Back Seat

I was once pampered by my parents having to sit me @ the back seat of the car always, without having to tell me what does it actually mean. So as i grew older, i always thought that is the correct way to get in the car, always sit @ the back of the car! Until one day, the expression on someone's face thought me a lesson.

I remembered i was still in Junior high by then, and my dad couldn't come picked me up @ school, so he sent one of his colleague to come pick me up. So as always, i was waiting inside my school compound, patiently for my dad's colleague to arrive, just like this;

As the car approaches, my dad's colleague ( a woman) saw me and gave me a big warm smile...just like she is picking up her own kids!! Like this,
and i was happy to see her too!! So i went to the car quickly....

As always, i hopped into the back seat of the car!!! and my dad's colleague's face changed into this instantly!

And i was wondering why? Have i done anything wrong? She didn't talk a single sentence to me throughout the whole trip.

This incident had kept me wondering for quiet a while, until i finally got it. Things that i've done, basically i'm treating her as a driver, where in actual fact she is only doing my dad a favour!!! So i couldn't blame her for the reaction.

I know these days there are still lotsa people who likes to sit @ the back seat and pretend to be treated as a "TAOKE". This only applies when you paid someone to be your driver, like a taxi driver...YES?

And in actual fact i was kinda glad that i get to learn the lesson this way. So my parents will think...oh....what a bright young lady i am!!! Hahahaha......oh well....so guys, remember to respect people even small things like getting on the right side of the car!!!

Have a great morning guys!!!

Raged

Don't worry, i'm not going to roar like a lion. All i intended to write here basically is an incident that you and i will see happen everyday. It's not really a big matter to some people, because they never THINK how dangerous incidents like this could make you end up.

Was driving some days ago where i met this grandad fetching grand-daughter off school, and the grandad park his car across the street. Which means they have to cross the street illegally. So like our usual scene on the street, you see people holding their son/daughters hand, looking damn serious and concentrate, hoping they could cross the street as fast as possible. So i've got a question, everytime when you drag your children across the street like that, how many times do you think you can get away lucky? I'm not cursing anybody here, all i want to do is to point out how dangerous it is to do things like that, and think about what kind of example are you going to set for your children?

Here is an example of what i saw on the street the other day;

See where the grandad and grand-daughter is? They are waiting eagerly to cross the street to reach their car parked opposite. And what disturbed me most is after the grandad cross the street like this,

The grandad crossed the street safely as he wished, with an unbelievable successful BIG smile on his face! Just like he is trying to say " YAY! WE WON! WE WON!" You see where the problem is? Why are you even smiling by crossing the street like that ? Because you got lucky? You saw the cars stopped and you thought you got the perfect chance to slip across the street thinking even the sky is helping you? WAKE UP! You are basically risking your own life as well as the young. And also I guarantee you, no matter how many overhead bridges the government build for safety sake, majority of them will still " POK" on the dangerous way. Believe it or not.

Yes, by going the dangerous way, you can save on time. But, you are directly telling the young ones " This is the correct way to cross the street! Grandad can do it! So can you!" And that is why nothing ever changed! Generation after generation, we thought it's really nothing serious about crossing the street illegally!

Well.....think MASHED TOMATO!!! or anything that's MASHED!!!! Get the picture??
