So the journey starts

You don't have to go far to find paradise. I found mine, 11/2 hours flight away.

To the beautiful Kota Kinabalu!!

We flew Air Asia, and it was late Thursday night...so when we arrived we couldn't get a glimpsed of how KK is like (yes, laugh @ me for not been to KK until now!) because the whole city is actually quiet dark. No joke! & when we arrived @ the airport, we got a shock of our Sarawak lifetime, why? the Taxi fare cost us RM60 for a 20 minutes car ride!!! Why so expensive?? Because of midnight charges!!! Y? Their car run on different petrol past midnight kah?

So we arrived @ 1 borneo, checked into Courtyard hotel......the corridor doesn't look impressive, even the room also, it was damn small ok? @ 1st we booked a bigger room which was about Rm180, and then when we arrived they said " Oh sorry, some of our floors are under renovation, what about i offer you our deluxe room @ Rm128?' The deal sounded quiet fair, so we took it. Otherwise how leh? Sleep on the street kah?

Anyway, we were too tired to even think about anything. So just dozed off lor. The next morning....

We were greeted by this magnificient mountain view. We were @ the coffeeshop overlooking the scenery.

Would it be a luxury to have a place like this for breakfast? But then again, it was freaking hot can? They served almost the same dishes for 2 mornings when we were there, but surprisingly they tasted quiet good!!

We then met our tour guide @ the hotel lobby, we got a tour van all to ourselves!! Wohoo!! So after breakfast we are ready to start our day!

Me camwhoring in the tour van

Another camwhoring in action

I didn't know the journey to Mt.Kinabalu can take a whole long 2 hours! It just keeps on going on and on the long winding road! And finally we've reached our destination....we were greeted with this scene...

The tallest gunung in South East Asia! Mt.Kinabalu!

It was breathtaking!

Picture snapping....snap snap snap

After capturing all the angles we could on the Mt.Kinabalu, we then went to walk around the small bazaar...

Basically it's small bazaar that sells mostly local made products, like weaved baskets, T-shirts, key chains, stuffs for tourist.

I cannot remember the name for this instrument, anybody knows?

All sorts of souveniers for sell

Souvenier guitar for sell too!

T-shirts!

As i'm a fan of keropoks, i can't help but take pictures for almost all that i can find in this little bazaar....this one is a real leaf keropok, i don't know how it taste like though...

Long shaped keropok udang

I seriously don't know what this is, maybe something like sago pancake??

Part 2 coming up............

p.s gimme some time, as i'm damn busy with my flacking (new word, act as a substitution for FxxKing, and it sounds and looks better!) work!! Sigh....... and hor, the outbreak of Swine flu, i mean how to travel like that? I got bigger plans end of May leh.......Hai hai....
