Excuse me, I'm an INTERIOR DESIGNER

Not an Interior Decorator.

Ok, how do you differentiate the two? Anybody knows?

I'm almost fed up with people addressing me with the Decorator term. How about this, you are a doctor and i call you a nurse, you are a lawyer and i call you a clerk, you are an Architect i call you a draughtsman, a cook and i call you a waiter? How does that feel?

I'm not going to go into details like " Oh, the difference between the two is because one is with degree and one not" The fact is, nobody cares about these things. They only speak using their brain's memory and not using the brain! This is really a society where things will only get going IF you know how to respect people, do some research you know? What is your pc for besides for your enlightment of porno?

Interior Decorators, to me are more home based. Meaning? They are good in decorating houses. Full stop, end of story. Basically this is what they do best. Choosing curtains, furnitures, whatever shit that you need for your HOUSE. Get the picture?? Tell me if you don't, because i can write you a 500 pages explanation essay or book whatever shit you wanna call it.

So what does Interior Designers do then? THEY, basically are Interior Architects. Think, what do architects do ?? Don't tell me you need me to answer that for you. Well, ok might as well. Architects design & build buildings right? By talking about this now, makes me think of " Are you smarter than a fifth grader!" haha....So Interior Designers build Interiors. It's true you might ask, what is there to build when the building is already there? To us, the exisiting building is not the end of the story for us. We basically work around the building. Interior designers are granted to change the outlook of the building as long as it incorporates with what they needed to do inside. Does that sound a bit more complicated than an Interior Decorator?

It kinda pisses me off when i see more and more people putting up signs saying they are interior design firm which in reality they are not. Sometimes it feels so sad seeing a " culture" like this in existance. Ok, no self praise here, but i actually went through 4 years of "intensive" training in order to be called an Interior Designer. I mean most of the college are offering 2 years or 21/2 years courses. Seriously, you can learn no shit in this 2, or 21/2, or 21/4 whichever way you want it. It makes no difference.

So @ this point, i would assume all of you guys would know the difference. If not....well....there's nothing else i could do except to mail you the 500 pages of explanatory.
