How will you present yourself when you walk into one of these shops?

Many people complained to me, why do they feel they are being treated differently when they walk into branded shops? Their meaning to being treated differently, simply means people don't see them as a potential buyer eventhough they are fully loaded with cash.

Well, the answer is fairly simple.

1st of all, when we talk about branded shops, what do we think of?

Luxury


Places for the rich


High Society?


Yes, that's basically it. Eventhough many branded shops are trying to sell cheaper products these days in the hopes of attracting more customers, but the bottom line is their stuffs are still pretty much expensive!

Let's think of it this way, since people spend millions of dollars just to build their image of a luxury brand, and we as a customer, should we pay some respect to that ? and the way to achieve being a luxury client, it's ok if you don't have $$$ in your pocket, if your aim is to just go check out the new arrivals as well as their prices, then so be it! But make sure you dress, talk and walk to impress!

So how do we do that?


Dress to impress

Don't overload yourself with colours, that to me is a big NO NO. The more simple you dress, the more attention you are going to get! Trust me! Ofcourse when i say simple, it doesn't mean the loose jogging pants you wear @ home or the T-shirt that is torned and worned out that you like to wear @ home. It simply means, choose something that is clean line and sleek looking or something that's in fashion, but less colours.

When you are looking for dress to impress, make sure you have the following in mind;

Wear something you feel comfortable in. Because if you don't, most of the time you will find yourself looking for mirrors to see how you look, going to toilets many times more than usual..doing the same thing back and forth just to find that self-confidence.


Wear clothes that comes in simple shapes. Most of the time, i would wear a black loose top and choose a bright colour tights to go with it. Or if you want to be more feminine, go for Bohemian. Most of the time when we read magazines like VIVI, MINA and some other Japanese fashion magazines, those Japanese really do know how to mix and match pretty well don't they? But sadly, those kind of fashion don't really apply here. Try wearing them out, and try to walk into a branded shop......for me, i wouldn't even have the guts to step into the shop. Simply because i don't think i've got the right kind of look to go to places like that. See what i mean? And most of all, people don't take you seriously.

Wear clothes that flatters your figure. No matter what shapes or sizes you come in ,there's bound to be a style that suits you. My body is short and my legs are long, so most of the time, i would go for something that would bring out the length of my legs rather than the shortness of my body. Try standing infront of a mirror naked, and try to study the figure of your body. When you know how your body looks like, what needs to be covered up and what don't, trust me, next time when you go shopping, you will find it surprisingly easy to find clothes that suits you!

Having constantly reminding yourself of the above 3 points, i'm sure you will find dressing to impress has never been so easy!


Next we come to face. I won't be talking about make ups, because i think that's a rather easy thing to do, or even the sales assistants will be able to help you more than i do i think!! So what would i be talking about on the face if it weren't about make ups? Well....


Shit in your eyes, nose and left over food on your teeth!!! YIAKS!

Now we've come to the interesting part! Tell me, how many times do you think about the shit in your eyes and nose a day? I know it's a disgusting question, and i don't know how long i will be able to talk about it......but just think for a second!

No matter how flawless is your make up, if there's a shit in your eye, do people see that shit or your make up? and when you have a piece of dried up shit hanging loosely in your nose, do people look @ you or that piece of shit in your nose? and most importantly when u smile!!! What's the use when your smile is charming but you have veges, meat, chillies that comes together with it! Ewwwww.......

Picture this...........for example, you walk into a Prada shop gracefully, thinking you have done everything right to make that 1st impression. You are wearing designer clothes, designer shoes, carrying a designer bag, make up flawless, you are damn sure the shop assistants are going to serve you like a Queen! So you saw a wallet to your interest, you walk towards the display counter, just when you are about to point out which wallet you would like to have a look.....OOPPS!! Something fell out from your nose!!! Landed on the clear glass display counter! You saw it, the sale assistant saw it! So what are you going to do now? Dig a hole on the ground? You know that's not going to happen. You try to lift your head up and smile @ the shop assistant, and then u remembered you just had thai food and you haven't been to the toilet or look yourself into the mirror! OOOpppsss!! So what do you have here? Loaded with branded goods but showed people shit and dirt, which do you think people are going to remember the most? So, to prevent things like this from happening....make sure you check your eyes &nose, scratch your teeth before you walk into any of the luxury shop!!! you don't need me to teach you how to do that now do you?


and last but not least, NAILS!


Is there anybody out there still has no idea of what a manicure and pedicure is ? Ok...good, just incase you are not sure what it is? You can always write to me. Or simply read my previous blog with the title " NAILS"

Ok, so why does having a nice looking nail so important? Let me share with you a short story of mine.

During my visit to Hokkaido Japan 2 years ago, i have no interest in manicure or pedicure, i mean those things are just so not necessary! So i always have crack nails, dirt clocking up my nails and i still think that's ok!
Until i went into one of this creative T Shirt printing shop, the guy speak mandarin and he's a Japanese! I was thrilled! and he's not bad looking too!!
He introduced me to this really unique necklace with sea stone that he designed! and it really is very unique! We talked, flirted a bit....i mean it was great! And then out of a sudden....i saw him starring @ my nails.....it was just a mist second...but i know what he is thinking. He showed a slight disgusted look! Oh my! What did i do to deserve this? it's just nails! dirty nails!!! Thats the problem! Since then......i never saw my nails or toe nails without any colours or patterns on it. So now you know how important it is to have a clean, polished nail??


So yeah there you have it. I know it's not really a helpful post but i just hope it will still help you in some way. I'm sure if you really do follow what i just said, you will find walking into a branded shop feels like walking into any other shop, you'll feel easy, stress free, and most importantly a pleasant journey through the luxury world!
