Lei Lei's observation

Welcome to the 1st lesson of Lei Lei's observation! ( Actually, come to think of it, a few of my previous entry should be put under this title..mmmm.....) But anyway, we'll just start from here.

So what is Lei's Lei's observation about you may think? It's basically about the different types of people that i encountered in everyday life. Because you ain't going to meet a person that's exactly the same ( unless they are cloned). So meaning every single person you meet everyday will lead to an interesting chapter in your life, agree? Mayb yes & mayb no. Anyway, let's read on.

The idea of me having to come up with this topic, is because i think im kinda fated with "weird" people. My definition of weird might be normal to other people, that is why i find this topic very interesting. Because each one of you can either agree with me or not agree with me. And that to me is very challenging.

So for this 1st chapter, i would like to talk about one of my coursemates when i was still studying in Sydney Australia several years ago. She left me with an impression that i think i won't be able to forget for my entire life.

Things aint easy when i was still a coursemate+friends with her, but having to think back now, i've actually got a chance to learn a very precious life lesson with her. Because of that, i can now use what she had used on me to people that are not so nice to me these days. See?

The most memorable part i have on her, however can be catergories as below;

Ability to get jealous

i would give her 200 out of the 100

Scheming?

Another 200 out of 100

Ability to SHOW OFF ?

300 out of 100

The ability to sit back and relax when bad things happen to you?

500 out of the 100

The ability to push you down so that she could lift herself up high?

1000 out of 100
Ability to compete with others?
2000 out of 100

Terrible?

She was so mean to me when we were still coursemates, and i thought i was the only one. Until i found out another friend of mine who happens to have the same fate as me...and infact she suffered worst, why? Because they both went for the same guy!! hohoho! In the end, the one who suffered the same fate as me, became one of my best buddies.

And you know what? when i said i couldn't forget her for maybe my entire life is not exactly what she did to me, it's actually the impression she left for me, meaning her features, her face. And now, i really have phobia with long faced female. I mean not as long as a horse face but, the long type you know what i mean?

Here's a few examples,

Get the picture?

Of course, i'm not saying all the females who possesed a face shape like this are entirely like that. (I really hope that someone will prove me wrong!) But after coming back here and meet some long faced again.....they are still basically the same species. And the good news is, i've got a couple in my office!!!!

Good day in office guys, will be back with more observation analysis soon! HO HO HO!

Star Trek d Movie

Despite having an antibiotic full blown day, meaning.....i wasn't being able to control my emotions, sterned face, feeling moody and worst of all, nobody understands that. So here's a tip for future reference --It would be best to just stick your sick face @ home the next time round when you are sick. There's no point going out, you know why? Because the society won't give you any courtesy @ all. Believe it or not?

Well....having said that....i was then glad i did something meaningful today....making the perfect choice of movie to watch.....which is ?

THIS!

STAR TREK 2009!!

Many people did a review on this movie, and non that i've read has got any bad reviews about it. So i was pretty much sure that this will be a good or otherwise great movie to watch!! And i'm glad my instincts were correct!!

I mean i wasn't even a fan of Star Trek to begin with. And seriously, i haven't a clue what Star Trek is about. But after watching the movie, i now have a very clear idea what it's about. I used to have this impression where the characters in Star Trek are all half alien half human type, the movie however still shows the half alien half human character, but it wasn't that eerie this time round. And i kinda felt the characters in this movie!! Haha

The other good thing about this movie is however the characters. The age has been clearly minimised. In a way, i think it's more appealing to the audience, well @ least to me. Each of the characters has got their own vibe, which allows audience to remember them easily. And my favourite character? Goes to ---- KIRK! (Chris Pine) Simply because his image appears to be more humane, hip and of course cute!!

The one in the middle is Kirk, the very 1st guy on the right is Spock(Zachary Quinto). Apparently he stares as the bad guy (Sylar) in Heroes who hunts people with superpowers and make the powers his own. ( No wonder he looks kinda familiar)

Kirk is cute right? From this image he kinda looks like Brad Pitt to me!!

Ok, so besides the main characters, there is however another character which caught my attention. Him --

Nero the bad guy in Star Trek movie, but who exactly is he in real life?

I couldn't recognised him when he 1st appeared in the movie, and after a few closed up shot on him....he is no one other than the Australian actor Eric Bana! Where did i find the resemblance? From his mouth of course. He got this distinct pouch on his mouth, which is like his trademark and it's so hard to just get pass that. And the other reason being i still got this vivid memory of him starring in one of the Australian comedy show -- The full frontal. Man, he was hilarious! I still couldn't forget how he looks like when he was on the show, just like these images--

Eric Bana on the far left and the rest of Full Frontal crew

I got this images under the Eric Bana show

He was hilarious right? and if you compare these images with the one in Star Trek.....doesn't really match up don't they?? But the mouth does!!!!

AlrightyO ! Enough said!! Time to head to the cinema!!!!

And for those that have joined the ride, please choose one of the following;

Down with diarrhea

Diarrhea is not exactly a very nice thing to picture.....unfortunately i'm down with that.
Having woke up this morning, saw myself in the mirror, i got a shock, because i look exactly like this,

Well, maybe not exactly like that but.....to me it was quiet close. Not much food for almost 2 days and having much water discharged from my body....the feeling is however indescribable.

Couldn't write much, no inspiration, lack of energy. I'm just down.

A little Quiz

If you learn that somewhere in our country, there's an elixir of eternity, would you go hunt for it? if your answer is YES, please take the following quiz.

There won't be any wooohaaa answer to this Quiz though, all im doing here is a simple survey to a big life's decision! Please take part just for fun! OK?

So after having asked around, and paid off some chaps that will lead you to the answer of where the elixir might be, you began your journey in hopes of finding the elixir of eternity.

And finally! You've found the place where the elixir is hidden!! You can see a clear fine glass containing the colourful elixir,

as you try to approach it, something stop you from doing so, what is it that's stopping you from getting the elixir?

So what's ur decision?

Red Alert!!

A news caught my attention yesterday--- A 31 year old man returning from the States is suspected to have Swine flu. I stood there with disbelief and started to think what if this turns out to be a confirm case? The 1st case of Swine flu from Kuching throughout the whole country? Lots of questions went through my head @ that very moment. I mean in situation like this, there's really nothing much we can do right? However, i still need to find some form of way to protect myself. Going to the doctors and take some vaccine for normal flu is just not the way, i mean if it's called " Swine flu" it's obviously not a normal flu right? Apparently some private clinic doctors actually called out their patients and ask them to go take a normal flu vaccine! Can you believe it? Ofcourse many of us will get panic over things like this....but...what's important now, is to take good care of ourselves. Avoid crowded areas, wash your hands regularly, exercise regularly, take more vitamins....and last but not least, wear a mask!! It won't give you a full protection, but @ least there's some form of defence between you and the virus. If all the mask are sold out, you can try something like this;

Yes, bra! You will be surprised by how good of a protection it gives!!! If your wife/gf has got a bigger cup, it will provide even better protection! & what's great about it? it comes in two and you can get them 24/7 !!! When a news like above broke out all of a sudden? Take it off and cover your mouth!! Give another one to your love ones!!! Now i kinda know what wonders a bra can do!!!
hahaha
Anyway i was just trying to crack some jokes to you guys to help loosen the tension a bit!!! no offence!!!
By the way, heard the latest news on the radio, it says the test on the suspected man actually turn out to be negative! so i guess that's a piece of good news??? However, i still think we need to take safety precaution no matter where you are and what you are doing especially during times like this. LET's STAY SAFE!!

What's next?

You know, i really had a great time posting photos from my Kota Kinabalu trip. It was such an enjoyment!! But, good things always come to an end, right? So, before i start my wild imaginations posting again.......there's however a tip of advise i got as an email from my friend the other day......it serves as a reminder for those that always eat out, or those that go travelling and got carried away....too happy and forgot to check minor things like this!!!! Hopefully after this post, you will put your hand-phone calculator to good use!!!

Below is an example,( image extracted from the email i got,) it happened in a restaurant in Hong Kong. Basically it's a normal bill which we get after every meal if we are eating out...so what's wrong with it?? Try adding the amount and you will know what i mean!!!!

Say for example, by adding all the amounts on the bill.....
45+36+65+68+98+88+8+68+42 = $518!!! Hello? It aint $548 as shown on the bill ok? Plus the service fee it will only be $ 573!!! See how much more you need to pay if you don't check your bills properly???

I'm sure if you bring the problem to the cashier or the waiter/waitress, they will either come back to you and blame it's a techincal fault....but a fault is a fault, and you need to fix that right??

So be sure to check your bills next time you eat out!!!! and don't get conned!!!

KK Trip--Final Episode

After the magnificent island tour....we then enjoyed a quiet evening in our hotel---The Pacific Sutera, one of the best hotels and resorts in Kota Kinabalu.
We had a dinner appointment with Kl's friend @ around 7:00pm, so since we still have a bit of time in hand, we decided to go walk around this beautiful resort.
We started off with their beautiful garden....

It's almost sunset, and i can tell you....the colour shades of the nature just falls so beautifully onto each and every element in the resort!!!

The Swimming pool....see the background?

But the one thing that i would be most wanting to see is non other than their private yacht club!!

See me cam whoring with the Yacht club behind me together with the beautiful sunset!!

And this is the real thing!
I wonder whose boat are these??? mmmm......

And they even have their own GAS STATION OK?

This picture of the gas station actually look kinda legoish to me!! So cute!

This is the club house, it consist of bowling alleys, mini theater and many more!! Can you believe it?

A shot from the club house over looking the expensive & beautiful Yachtsssss .

This, however is the Olympic standard size swimming pool, which belongs to the other wing of Sutera Harbour, The Magellan Sutera
Doesn't look like Olympic size swim pool when i was there leh.....

Cam whoring from the swimming pool over looking the YACHTsssss AGAIN!!!

@ 1st i didn't quiet like the architecture of The Magellan, because it's just such a standard resort typo look...but then when i got a closer look....i was actually amazed by the quality of material they used....and i fell in love almost instantly with the timber species they use for their ballustrate, door frames and louvers!! I LIKE LIKE LIKE!!!
This has to be the "long kang" that seperates the two different wings! If you are desperate for some salt water....you are actually free to jump in the sea from here!! But there's a boundary though....just in case the shark comes...you know....

Ahhhh...beautiful sunset!!!!

Me relaxing while my toe nails are over looking the sea!

Couldn't resist the beautiful sunset behind me, so somehow must cam whore a bit lah...

Almost time for the beautiful egg yolk to rest!!

And just when we were about to go indoor, there's something which caught my eye......a BEAUTIFUL YACHT happens to sail across me!!!
I saw this yacht parking @ the dock which has a British flag on it, so i presumed it's a British Yacht? And how long does it take for it to sail back to UK? is it possible?? mmmm so many questions and yet no answers.....
Another view of the beautiful yacht and the sunset..

After the long walk, we landed @ the Magellan Sutera's lobby!! The lobby was damn grand ok!
And the flower in the middle is actually real waterlilies!!!

Damn beautiful CAN?

And so we met up with Kl's friend after about 10 minutes waiting @ the lobby...and we are off for our dinner!!! Sorry folks, didn't take any pictures of the food...because to me....the food was just ok.

After the dinner, Kl's friend brought us touring around the city centre a bit...couldn't see much as it was damn dark can? I think right....they should emphasize on putting in more street lights or more lights for the landscape you know what i mean? Brighten up the whole city a bit lah......

And then, we went for the dessert.......which was DAMN NICE CAN?
So what did we hav
e exactly??

This........
Sorry folks, as it was too delicious, i forgot to take picture when it was still nice and solid.....however, i've got another pic showing you how does the thing look like in fake....hehehe

Like this lar.....

If you happens to see this shop.....DON'T WAIT....RUSH RIGHT IN!
It's so good that before you have your second bite, you are already queuing up for your next order!!!! The taste is so light and yummy!!! It's a yogurt ice cream!!! Go try it out guys!!!

After the yummy delicious dessert, we were damn tired....so Kl's friend sent us back to Pacific Sutera....

This is how the "Inside" of the Pacific Sutera looks like @ nite.....and then we called it a night.

The next morning, before we packed and say goodbye to the resort....i couldn't resist but to take more shots of how the hotel looks like under the morning sun...

My room's balcony over looking the body of the building...

And the swimming pool from higher view......

The Yacht club!! Wohooo.....

And the lobby.......eeeekkk....nothing @ all compare to the one in Mangellan....
Right?

Before we headed to the airport, Kl's friend brought us to eat another local dish....Tomyam Beehun!! The taste?? Superlicious!!!!

If the bee hun appears to be a bit more tough, i think i will like this dish 10 times more!!!

Kl had his salty vege bee hun soup with fish fillets!! Also tasted yummy!!!!!

Yum yum!!!!

So after the delicious bee hun, we then headed to the airport.....so that's all folks from the Kota Kinabalu trip!!! Hope you enjoyed it!

P.S. Supposed to be going Japan end of this month, but then because of the Swine flu, i had no choice but to postpone......hopefully i will be able to rearrange it for later part of the year!!!!Fingers Crossed!
